since i have not gotten a response to my question about what you guys use for Power Steering fluid, when you change it out, i have to guess noone has changed theirs as of yet. dealer said i should do mine at 30k, but wanted a ridiculous amount to do a flush of the system, $119.00.

Check the owners manual for when it should be serviced. I haven't heard of anyone doing it, but at point it probably should be done.

Just got mine done, my friend did it... some kind of reddish stuff... I had to turn my steering wheel full lock left/right several times to get all the air bubbles out. I think he said he had to drop the lower cover to get to the drain plug.

I changed mine when I put a larger cooler on. At the time I had ~55k.

Power steering flush is one of those B/S dealer services that takes your hard earned money and puts it in their pocket. You definitely don't NEED to do it at 30k. Ask a good mechanic, most of them never even change power steering fluid. A more important fluid to change is your brake fluid, since it absorbs water over time.

If you're really concerned about the P/S fluid, you can change it yourself. It doesn't need to be "flushed" (who knows what the dealer means by this anyways??), you can just change what's in the reservoir with fresh fluid a few times. This article is pretty good: http://www.valvoline.com/carcare/art...=ccr20030601ps

what type of fuild is it that we use? I forgot.....I think it's supposed to be dextron/mercon ATF...is that correct?

I just had to move my PS cooler (again) and I drained all the fluid.
