Getting better gas mileage?

Re: Getting better gas mileage?
I have not heard about a kit to improve gas mileage but I do make better gas mileage using Chevron Supreme than with 76 Supreme. I get almost 60 more mile out of a tank of gas with Chevron. If gas mileage is a problem switch gas and see what happens. I had a 01 Galant that loved 76 but the G hates the stuff.

Hey IQ9, that's interesting. I've heard that different gasolines came make a big diff. in performance and mileage. I wonder if it's due to different levels of alcohol (gas-a-hol) put in the fuel?
Up here in Canada there doesn't seem to be a big difference in fuels that I've noticed (in the same octane), altho I fancy my G likes Petro-Can more than others. Other fellas swear by the higher octane Sunoco (93 I think) and say it helps performance.
I personally feel getting fuel from a 'well visited' station is a good start no matter which one you choose. I have a friend that thinks he pumped 'dirty gas' from a quiet no-name.

Re: Getting better gas mileage?
We don't get Mobil gas here in southern Ontario, but I've heard it's better than others. I like PetroCan, Sunoco, Shell, but have stuck with PetroCan for the G's mainly for convenience. I have noticed the requirements for fuel has changed from the Sedan to the Coupe: It says to use regular (87) octane fuel in the Sedan, but for better performance to use Premium (91). With the Coupe if says to use Premium (91) fuel for better performance with limited use of (87) if necessary. To me it's a little unclear.......Perhaps I'm reading too much into it............ .....
I'd like to here from other drivers as to what they use, and why........Later man...

Re: Getting better gas mileage?
I am only using Chevron 91,no more 76, but I will be adding some octane booster once I get it broke in more. The booster seems to give the engines a bit more to play with. It helps when you're huntin' Bimmers.

Re: Getting better gas mileage?
Well I was informed of the product called the Tornado which is suppose to add 5hp and improve the gas milage. Dose any one know if this is any good? I also heard that something like that is comming out for all the 3.5 Nissans and Infinitis. Is it suppose to add about 8hp and better gas milage. Is this also true?
