Timing belt?
Have any of you guys changed out any of your belts yet? My car has 70k miles and suddenly today when I started up my car I heard a loud screech under the hood. After the engine is on it sounds fine. When I turn the car off I hear it a little too. Is it time to change me belts?
Probably your belts need to be replaced, most G35's have them replaced around 40-50k so I would say you are over due. BTW, these cars don't have "timing belts" they have chains, you are trying to replace the serpentine belts.
Sounds like you need a new belt or maybe both. ^^ is right, we have a timing chain that is good for 100k+ but the belts are every 30-50k depending on conditions. They are easy to swap out.
I replaced my serpentine belts with Goodyear Gatorback belts @ around 45K miles last month. These belts have a ribbed design and are known to be just as good, if not better and quieter than OEM. I think I paid around $40 for both belts (AC alternator and power steering), and you can find them at either Advance Auto Parts or Autozone.

Gatorbacks are awesome.
Nissans traditionally have be interference types. But yeah, I'm surprised it took this long for someone to mention timing belts /= accessory belts
