it looked like it was made into the cover and the emblem had a little ball that cliped in. if you be careful you should be good!

i think the hardest part will be getting the cover off of the airbag!

It used to bother me but I learned to live with it... but today I was at TechnoSquare - the window was down for while Tadashi did his stuff and I was standing staring at the damn emblem - wanting it black chromed again... this thread has me buggin' about the damn emblem all over.
Thanks for the info. I think I have a new project now...

there is no DIY and it is simple just would be easier with 2 people and I didnt unplug the airbag so i was limited to movement. but its 2 bolts and a few tabs to get it off! If you have someone to hold the airbag and you mess with the clips it will be simple it took me 30mins by myself

Simple maybe......but why?
I feel like most everyone else here......I drove a '92 300ZX TT for 12 years
and I loved the car......had it not been for the 125K miles on the clock I'd
still be sitting behind the wheel enjoying myself. It was like a jet powered
skate board but with the mileage and rust starting to show up in many
areas I had to let it go. Now I drive an Infiniti G35 and I like the Mt Fuji
emblem.....
