G vs. GS430

G vs. GS430
Pullin onto the freeway on ramp it was 2 lanes that merge into 1. The GS was in front of me so i went to pass him on the left. I see his front wheel gap lift up so i also punch it and we are both at full accereration. I pass him by a car and he in on my a$$, I am still pulling slow and he is about 1.5-2 cars behind me at 120 he stops, and i keep on truckin to 130 then let off. And of course i flashed the hazards to left him know whats up.

Its funny I beat the same GS400 [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] yesterday on my new (1450mi) 04 G35 sedan and over a month ago on my s/c 02 Accord V6 coupe. He was trying hard, however in sedan I had him 1/2 car lengh in s/c coupe about 3-4 cars

Sure, the G35 may be faster, may handle a little better, but in other aspects (ie: luxury features, quietness, comfort, and reliability) you really can't compare a $60K car to a $30K G. I own both cars, G35 and GS300 and even with a $15K difference, they are both totally different cars. One is a luxury sports sedan, the other is a performance sedan (borderline luxury).

Who's comparing the packages? Court who started this thread was stating he beat GS in his G and never mentioned about packages. In addition GS drivers think they own road, therefore if I see GS400 showing off I'll teach them a lesson.

Never seen one. If I see it I will the chance just for fun and I drive responsible know when to quit. As far as the one I beat twice in two different cars (stock G and s/c Accord) he picked up the "fight" I proved him wrong.
I guess people dont realize that stock 02 Accord V6 goes 16.3 (1/4 mile). That guy with GS400 I beat thought "Ah thats another slow a$$ Accord with exhaust" without realizing he dealing with upper 13s car (for now).

I never compared the packages of the cars! I just stated that I showed the man who owns the road. V-8 vs. V-6 =)
Plus Toyota quality in Lexus is not nearly as nice as the Nissan quality in Infinitis.

You are out of your mind if you think Infiniti has better quality than Lexus!!!. I have owned two Infinitis and they are great cars. But, anyone one who thinks the quality of Nissan is better than Toyota is out of their mind!!!

I'm not starting an argument, I'm agreeing with typhoonro that the G should compare itself to cars in its own class. I agree that the G is a better car, when compared to cars in its own range (ie: IS300, 3-series, Accord V6 coupe). But don't try to base your findings just because the G is faster. The WRX ST-i is faster than the G...so bow down to the st-i, because its a better car than the G. he he he
Anyway, did a test and the G didn't move out of 3rd when compared to the IS and GS in terms of performance, mechanical quality, style, safety, fuel economy, AND l/t dependability.http://www.jdpower.com/cc/auto/index.jsp#

You people make me laugh. The guy just posted his GS400 kill and who cares about the packages of $30K car and $50K car. G35 stock is faster then GS400 stock period and its been proven many times. What EVO and STI has to do with it? You've got to be stupid to go against both of them (low 13s stock) in your G35 (mid-low 14 s stock) unless you put on serious mods.

Yeah you are right - some people on this site are really funny. If I am not mistake he did not say GS400 (actually he just said GS). All I saw was GS430 and I don't believe a G35 is as quick (or as good a quality) of a car as the GS430's!!! Enough said
