3rd time a Charm?
I have taken my G in for this metalic clicking sounds twice already. The first time they said they replaced the Wheel Bearing. A week later, same sound. I took it in again and dude said it was some plate rubbing on something and I waited 10mins while they fixed it. A week later, same F&#&ing sound. This time is worst. Only happens whenever I make right hand turn. THis is frustrating cause the car is almost out of warranty, 58k now. So I'm thinking they want to run out the time instead of fixing it. Is my hunch plausible? Well, I scheduled to take in to a different dealer but they won't have loaners till June 6th, I can't wait that long, so I reschedule with the previous place for Wednesday. Is there something I should know or say to them in order to get this fixed once and for all, instead of them wasting my time? Aprreciate it. Thanks
Since you've taken it in so much for the same problem, make them put it in writing that if issue happens again after warranty runs out, they will cover repairs. My Nissan service dept did that for me when I had a starter issue on my old Maxima and it was almost out of warranty....

I figured out why the problem persists. I was cleaning my apt yesterday and found the receipt of the first time I took in for the clicking. It says that they replaced the front Bearings, instead of the back ones. Geniuses. I clearly spelled out the problem and we went on the test drive the second time. I hope they get it right this time.

Ohh, these *******s now tells me that the sound is coming from my rotors due it not being resurfaced during the last break pad job. I bought the car last August, so I have not done any break work on it. But I have driven the car throughout the wkend and the that clicking sound is no longer audable. What gives? If it was unleveled rotor surface, why isn't it still making the metal to metal sound I was hearing? Did they just dab some fluid temporary make it go away until it's no longer under warranty? Or is my conspiracy-theorist trait coming out again? thanks
put new rotors on it ASAP before your warranty goes. they aren't expensive anyways. if it still makes noise, tell them you are dropping the car off, you want a loaner and you aren't taking it back until the problem is fixed.
