My latest 6MT sedan dyno (w/ Vortech & Stillen)
Re: My latest 6MT sedan dyno (w/ Vortech & Stillen)
Wow...that a very nice setup you got there...only if someone made a aftermarket bumper that doesn't restrict airflow to the intercooler...you might see better gains....i can't wait to see numbers at the track.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah, I need to find a bumper with an opening in the front like the 350z has.
When the weather warms up, there's a nearby track I'll head down to--but as I've said before... I'm going to need some serious launch practice before my times will mean anything. Some of the Z guys are getting high 12s with the ATI supercharger but traction is obviously an issue.

That's a sweet dyno! I can't wait to get ours to the dyno, I know it won't put down quite that much, as it's not pushing as much boost, but I can't wait to see how it compares.
I know what you mean about the intercooler, we have the same issue right now. They were made for the Z with it's center opening, but on the G35 there's not that center opening and it's therefore not in the direct flow of incoming air... I've seen a couple bumpers with a larger opening already, but I haven't seen one I'm overly fond of yet.
Also, Did you do anything to the intercooler on the dyno? Ice it down, spray with water, etc....
Thanks!

Nope. It was quite cold that day, we had a huge fan, and the sedan does have a grill that goes across the entire length of the bumper to let at least some air in.
