My Work VSXX gold project failed today (spacers)

lol guys im really stupid as you can tell by this:
so as i mentioned took the 5mm spacer and wheel and got it mounted at the shop. car was raised and they mounted the spacer, hub ring and wheel with work lug nuts. my offset goes from +42 to +37 with a 5mm spacer. While raised we turned the wheels left and right completely (left driver wheel was mounted) and it did not rub.
I did not have them lower the car and try to turn the wheel. Was this a mistake? im worried now the +37 (since bert is running +38) might rub even though i am not lowered (tires are 245/40/19 on ps2's with stock suspension).
**** im stupid

did you ever install those H&R 5mm spacers without longer bolts?

You shouldn't rub with the 5mm spacer. I have a +38 on the front and IMO it's still not quite as flush as the rear is. Also this is about 1/2" clearance between the back of the wheel and the control arm (i think it's called the control arm...)

well i took the wheel back to the shop and had it fit and it doesnt rub with the hub ring and spacer. however I do need longer bolts as the stock ones only allow 1inch to stay out. i need atleast .5 inch more to be 100% safe. so will order the h&r with longer bolts
anyone know of a bolt replacement guide?

Have you considered getting spacers with the bolts built-in so you can change them yourself at will. I was looking at getting the Project Kics to clear the OEM Brembo's w/ my stock 17's. I'm just not sure if the bolts are built in the smller one's though. Maybe someone else can shed some light.

In UAE now
man if i was in boynton i would have had the wheels up a long time ago. Its pretty hard to get parts here in time in dubai. took me 2 weeks to get these spacers via USPS Express Post. + the expertise when it comes to these wheels + offsets etc is lacking here - very very few people know their **** in this country.
