More G35X suspension questions
My '04 G35X has been running with '06 Z springs all around for the last 12 months, which is about 24K miles (daily commute and work travels). I've got a total of 75K on her now and I'm thinking of doing Shocks/Struts and putting Coupe springs in the rear. I've read hundreds of pages here about suspension and I'm even more unclear about how the "X" reacts to different setups. My lowered "X" does not do well with deep pot holes and sunken man-hole covers, so I try to avoid them. I've had a few complaints from the backseat with these types of road hazards. Overall, I still like the setup and love the look, except I wish it was more even. That is why I'm thinking of the Coupe springs. I've also read that the Tokico D-Specs seem to improve ride quality.
On to my questions:
Do the rear Coupe springs actually even out wheel gap?
How different are the Coupe springs in ride quality?
Which Coupe springs are best? Regular or Sport? (and year)
Are Tokico D-Specs shocks the best for the rear?
If so, which ones with the Z or Coupe Springs? DSP-7 or DSP-9?
Which adjustments are good for summer and what is good for (snow) winter?
I've got a rear camber kit available to install if necessary. Will I need it?
Which front Struts are best with the Z Springs?

did your G come with sport package?
the problem i see immediately is that you are running revised springs on an 04. Also, if you did not have sport package, the springs rates are not the same if you had the unrevised springs (the corect one to get). I have a feeling your shocks are gone due to this setup and you should be looking into brand new shocks that will accomodate your revised springs. You can also switch out the whole set up and the drop will be a bit more even.

Well consider your shocks done by now. Mine only lasted 10K on the Z springs and the rebound was out of control. I just installed Koni Sport in the rear and a new set of OEM up front and its like a new car. Nice and firm...the gf is not complaining.
My OEM fronts only cost me like $113 a strut and should last long enough until I get my old ones back from Koni.
I would go with Koni since they are the only ones that will redo your stock fronts and you dont really want to mix struts.
Keep the Z springs in the rear BTW.
No one makes front struts for the X. Koni only modifies the front with their valving.

Here is something I kept from a posting here on spring rates back before I put the Z springs on my car:
Sedan
2003 - 2006 - G35 sedan sport suspension spring rates - 314/342
2003 - 2006 - G35 sedan non sport spring rates - 283/308
2004 - 2006 - G35x spring rates - 283/355
350Z
03/04 oem Z spring rates 314/342
04.5 to 06 oem Z spring rates 314/427
As you'll see, the "X" spring rate is higher than the sport springs, probably due to the extra weight of the AWD. Hence my decision to go with the '06 Z Springs. I can see where the RWD Sedans should use the 03/04 springs.
Does this mean I should keep the '06 springs and get the Koni Sports or Tokico D-Specs for the rear shocks?
Is it okay to have OEM front Struts with Koni or Tokico rear Shocks?
If I'm going to replace the Struts and Shocks, should I just bite the bullet and get a coilover setup? Especially, if I switch back and forth with my 18" summer/ 17" winter wheel/tire setups?

My shocks and struts don't seem that bad. I don't have bounce problems, it just is hard as a rock on some real bad pot holes and large bumps.
this is for sale in the marketplace if you want to go this route!
