Ok, my part to get this back on topic. In order:

"Nismo" kit=$2000
Nismo S-tune suspension=$2000 (I ordered it from Japan before it was available here in 2002--man my suspension is old now)
Enkei 18" RPM-2 Wheels/tires=$2000 (I am only counting one set--I have been through at least 4 now)
Stoptech 13" BBK=$2000
K&N Filter/Z-tube=$100
Stillen exhaust=$400 (used)
Power Lab Plenlum spacer=$200
Ritchie STB=$200 (can't remember the exact price)
A few other small things like clear corners, lots of brake fluid, pads, and lines (don't ask about the lines), etc.

I think that is pretty much it. So, about 9k. I did all the work myself, so I saved some there. I am done. I hate to say it, but I am going to sell my car soon, and pick up a either a new G37 sedan, a BMW 335i, or a Mitsu Evo X MR. Not sure which at this point, but I am leaning towards the Bimmer (I am going to wait for the G37 to come out before I decide).

Nice coupe, your in the wrong section though. No biggie, just thought I would point it out before someone asked to see your wheels on a sedan....

I'm in the same bracket more or less than G35Papa...

I'm a little over the 20k mark but that's only because I chose to go VIPstyle which is a very expensive hobby. I can appreciate the guys on here that have spent a lot making their cars fast since I used to do that, in my opinion, it isn't the cost, it's what you get out of what you've done that's important period.

I'll bite.

My totally broke student budget build:

Used BC Racing Coils: 300
Used (slightly) Megan Racing Exhaust: 339
HR-Y Pipe: +10 (Paid 100 for a full system and sold Mid for 60 and the muffler for 50. lol)
Coupe Middy: Free (Same as above, paid 100 and sold the muffler and the Y 50 each)
JDM Clear Sides: Free (Gift from GF)
Eibach Front Sway Bar: 100
Z1 SS Clutch Line: 20
Used 6K HID: 20
ES front kit: 122
Painted headlights by 180: 160
Red LED Puddle lights: 10

Not bad I guess. I've done a lot of maintenance on the car and I have to change the motor soon so thats gonna cost me 2000+.

With changing exhaust and TPs three times, swapping in a new motor, rims, brakes, aesthetic modding but maintaining it all on a budget about $6k

I'm in about $7500, and that's lucky that i've gotten a good portion of my parts at very low prices

I sold my car.. but i invested quite a lot of money..

2k on SSR rim
2.5k on vortech supercharger, and 1k on install
bodywork was about $1.6K
$600 on exhaust
then there is tuning, repairs, tires,

You know what was priceless, the look on my wife's face every time i picked her up from her work in my car, she absolutely hated it, it was loud, the bypass valve was loud, i had x02 exhaust, so when i sold it, she was quite happy.. she never did know how much i spent on it.. i got her an acura mdx, and she never asked me anything else..
