35% all around for me too. I would have gone with 20% but I rather be on SAFER side on getting ticket with 20% on the front. 35% all around is not bad it does the job, i don't need all black privacy windows its not like im having car sex and stuff. 20% = look better but just too risky for me. Dont like to waste time and money.

maybe cause of the angle or something but front seem lighter in photo~?

Thumbs up Jamestint is AWESOME.

Saw James today, actually. He originally recommended 30% (HuberOptik, of course) all around, but switched his reco to 60% sides and 30% rear once I said I didn't want the hassle of tickets. It's AWESOME. Not limo, but that's not what I was looking for anyhow. He called it "Clear Technology" or something. It's NOT clear - actually provides a sweet glare from the outside.

James is really a pro! He takes a TON of pride in what he does. Coming from Brooklyn, it was a bit of a drive, but it's worth having a consummate professional, who offers a complete guarantee on his work and his product. Ecstatic.

Pics to follow tomorrow in a separate thread...

I had James Tint (www.jamestint.com) tint my windows, he's been doing it for 30 years. If nothing else, call for his opinion on which film to get. He was telling me of brands I've never heard of (he knows them all). For heat/light reduction, some are better than others.

In regards to percentage, that has ZERO to do with reductions. I remember him mentioning a CLEAR tint out there that blocked more heat and UV than any limo tint on the market. He uses that on exotics and homes as the price is extremely high.

Good Luck.

I have 18%, just got it done about 10 days ago, everything but the windshield. I thinks it about perfect, but its all a matter of opinion.

I have 35 in the front two windows and 20 in the back 2 and back window and it is a lot cooler in the heat, legal where I live, and still easy to see at night (when backing up, checking your blind spot, etc...). It is a little difficult to see out the back when there isn't any light around. Keep in mind with your black interior it will look darker then it really is.

Do at least 20%. I have 35% all around and 50% on the windshield. On a black car i think the darker the better. I think 20% is good to with. Dark enough to keep the light out and light enough to be able to back the car up without rolling the windows down.

I regret not doing the 20% after the tinter told me to.

20% is perfect in my opinion. At first I thought it was to dark but then it grew on me. Make sure you get the same percentage all around if its legal in your state, in tx since it's a little hotter I think the cops don't care unless its mirror tint.

Tints in MA

I have pretty much decided to go darker than the legal 35% here in MA. I plan on 20% all around instead of my initial plan for 35% sides and 20% rear windshield. I was fine with the 35% until I thought more about my tan interior. My only concerns with this are inspection and dealing with cops. I live in a college town where the police can be less than forgiving, do you think that the 20% will stand out too much even with the tan leather? Also, have any of you in states with similar legal limits ran into inspection problems with darker tints?

Question. Does anyone know for sure what is technically LEGAL in NYS? James said 30% is not legal. So, ended going with 60% (which I am liking more and more). It's a really elegant look. and the Huber Optik ceramic film does a sweet job at keeping the heat out.
