Any advice for selling 2004 G35 6MT Sedan?
Hi everyone, first post here.
I have an 04 6MT sedan that I need to sell fairly quicly (had to buy a minivan - growing family and all), and I was wondering how you would suggest selling it. I am worried that autotrader or some other site like that would not have many people looking for a 6-speed sedan. Is the classified section of this site a better bet, or are there other options?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

www.craigslist.com is free. I would still do www.autotrader.com you should also post in the classifieds of this board, g35frenzy.com & 6mt.net. Detail and wax the car, take some great pics, price it well and it should sell.
Best of luck.
Oh, why are you getting rid of it?

believe it or not there are a few guys out there looking for 6mt sedans. i had to wait a month or two to find a good one in Vancouver. it seems 6mt's account for only 5-10% of all G sedans, unfortunately.
definitely advertise it as a 6mt so people searching for one won't mistake it for an automatic. as well, do the std pre-sale things like detailing and fixing cosmetic blemishes. you know what they say about first impressions... assuming the car is mechanically sound, bringing the car's appearance up to par is always a good idea.

thanks all
In response to a couple of the questions above...
I'm selling because I had to get a minivan for the family (new Town and Country - can't afford both). Our third car (ford Taurus) is worth nothing but there is nothing wrong with it, I'm just gonna drive it until it dies.
As far as condition...it's in spectacular shape! Diamond Graphite w/ black interior, 43,000 miles. Think I could get about 19K for it?

Not sure what a G35 goes for in your area, but just for comparison, I bought my 04 6mt sedan (fully loaded except Nav) from a local dealer for $18.5K in back in December. It also had 43K miles when I bought it--Brilliant Silver with black interior. However, I was hard-pressed to find another 04 G35 Sedan for under $20K. So--19K may be reasonable, but you might also expect the offers to come lower....GL.

I just bought mine last week from an ad off craigslist, and was searching there and autotrader.com/yahoo autos (same database, yahoo has a better interface) periodically. Autotrader/yahoo is annoying because I was specifically looking for a 6mt and couldn't find a decent way to filter for them.
I can't stress enough how important it is to detail the car and make sure it's spotless before people come to look. I was totally turned off from a bunch of cars I went to look at because the sellers still had all their nasty stuff inside and bird droppings on the outside. Even people like me who want to be rational and know they could clean it up after the purchase can't overcome the way that aesthetics influence your perception. Getting the interior trim and leather looking crisp and shiny is probably one of the most important, imo.
