Very bad spot for the sub. In my opinion. When it rains and you open the trunk, sometimes water gets through where the rear window is. But looks good man.
Thanks!

Hmm, good point. I haven't had any water get in through there yet. Guess when it rains I either shouldn't use my trunk (outside of the garage) or I should cover it with a blanket or something. Something to think about.

Didn't really do much to it today. School/work/family took up most of my day.

Trimmed the fiberglass and added a brace to the back of the enclosure. I secured it using screws and hot glue.

yea no problem, I just wouldnt want a nice system to get ruined. I wish I had an infiniti so bad but insurance rapes my pocket, being 16 years old. Workin my but off though to get one at christmas. Maybe you could rig something up to put between the opening of the trunk and the glass. Ill look at my bros G35 and maybe come up with something.
Good luck man!

wait 'til you own a house! I could buy a brand new G (and keep mine) every 3 years for what my homeowners/windstorm policy costs.

Alright, almost done with it.
I got it to this point on Friday night/Sat morning at 2AM. There was a big BBQ in so cal that I had to go to Sat. Today I've been doing school work all day. I'm planning on laying carpet on them later in the week

This is how it fits in. (as you can see No Bondo this time, I did a better job time.)

I am still able to use the net.
This is how they look together. I plan to put the amp right under the parcel shelf where it won't be visible.

Try car rattle. It is worse than when I had one speaker, of course, right. I haven't fully checked into it yet as I don't have the right speaker bolted in (lost one of my bolts) so I'm not sure how much of the rattling sounds come from the box (air leaks from the whole and such). I turned it up on the freeway today and my rear view mirror kept shifting up and to the right . I had to keep readjusting it.
I'll report back later with better information about rattle. Right now though, so cal is on fire so I don't plan on going outside today. The air is full of debris from the fires.

cover up the car bad? or just bad? ha, That sucks. Yea, looks real good. I can afford an infiniti now, off to looking. Im just stuck on what to get(5AT or 6MT) Tons of trafic in Philadelphia. But nice car. Would you make them and sell them? Just a little way to make some more bucks in your pocket.

Thanks!

Looks like a good start, but IMO, the FG isn't thick enough yet. What is the port tuned to also?

I'm going to get some liquid sound deadining from eD audio and use that on the inside. To give it more of a wood box type sound. I only used a few layers to see what I could get away with as well as to keep the costs down. Only time will really tell though. I think part of the reason why it looks so thin is because most people use a thicker cloth for the base layer, while I used a really thin t-shirt type of cloth. Right now it sounds really good though

Edit:
One set of ports I think are tuned to about 35hz, but I have been experimenting with the remaining tube and switching out the two to see which I like better. I don't know what the other tubes are tuned to. I'll have to look that up.

Well, I had the rattles pretty much under control with just a single sub, but now new ones are comming out. I don't think it's cover up the car bad. One of the areas I wouldn't expect to rattle is sunglass/dome light. I haven't gone back out to the car since the last post. (I'm reading up on how to jailbreak my iPhone )
