New G35 Owner

Hi guys,

I just wanted to say hello and post a few pics of my new to me 05 5AT sedan. Bought it with 22k on the clock and in pretty good shape. The first thing I ran out and did was install clear corners and tint..i'll definitely have more done in the near future though. Most likely heading toward the FI route since my last car was a 5spd SC'd maxima.

Here's a few quick pics from today after zaino-ing...i only managed to get two coats of z5 and z2 on with z6 in between before calling it quits.

Congrats and welcome. Looking forward to seeing you get bit by the mod bug but it also sounds like you got bit when you had the maxima

Happy modding

Welcome to the Driver forum and congrats on your purchase! Nice color BTW, and I see what looks like a sweet M45 parked next to you

Thanks guys..I've already been bitten by the mod bug..many times already actually.. That's my dad's M45 parked next to me..I get to borrow it every now and then hehe. We're big infiniti fans. He used to have a Q45 before it got stolen and my sister has an I30.
Originally I was dead set on Diamond Graphite but when I went to the dealer and took one look at Lakeshore Slate w/ Stone interior, I knew that's the color I wanted. The pictures just don't do this color any justice. I shopped around for a little over a month and waited for the right G to pop up before pulling the trigger on this one (the first LS i saw at the dealer was pretty high mileage). Occasionally I'll see a DG G and have just a tiny bit of buyer's remorse but all I have to do is look at my car again to remind myself of why I chose this color.

Very nice....welcome to the LS club! I got my 05 back April (~27K miles). I started off with clear corners too, but it didn't take long until the mod bug bit me (see my signature for the few mods I've done).

NICE lookin G. Is that tint 20% all around? looks pretty dark..I went 35 all around with 30 on the rear windshield to avoid hassle from cops. That's what I want to do to mine..keeping it simple with OEM lip and coupe 19's lowered on revised 350z springs with D-specs. UTR lip spoiler..Minus front splash guards, plus rear splash guards I've already looked through a ton of threads on what to do with the exterior.

Then..when I've got a little more saved..valvebody and vortech I actually bought clear corners and made the tint appointment before I even bought the car haha.

Thanks. Not sure what % my tint is, the windows were tinted when I bought it. Is there any way to determine what % tint I have? Haven't had any trouble from the cops yet. I agree with keeping it simple, that is my goal.
