Btw anyone think I should go ahead and buy the nismo sides? IMO I like it the way it is. She seems to look meaner this way with the OEM sides and no rear lip.

Personally I think the side sills look great the way they are... Nismo are a good pre 05 replacement if you don’t paint... but I've always been a bit concerned about the bolted-up look... it just looks too obvious to me (sorry Nismo owners, many of you are my friends)...
I like the more subtle but different look - and you are pulling it off well Smoke
I am now thinking of painting my tail lights black. I will place circular stickers over the LEDs in order to ensure no reduction of function. Now in order to keep it legal I will not paint over the reflective portions. So before I get started I would like some more input.
I do not know what kind of paint to use though. Can someone please let me know what it is called.

people that paint their tails usually use just normal lights coats of black paint with a couple coats of clear over it. Looks perfect and shines like the rest of the car. Don't use "nightshade" or whatever it's called. Looks very dull and cheap looking.
^ I was thinking of doing that but I was afraid of losing to much light output since is not translucid like the VHT, they remained really bright and not blotchy at all, a friend of mine got his painted and they look sweet when they're off, fully black and shiney like a car paintjob but you can't see his tail lights for shiit when they're on
You did lose output and a fair amount. Tinting tails on a black car is a bad idea for night. Not just for tail lights but for the reflectors in the tails. You've probably got about 3/4 the visibility you use to.
Which is why VHT nightshade is actually illegal on tails and headlights.
I suggest using bat mobiles overlays, they are a little more money but they look better and are easily removable when you get a fix it ticket from the cops.

I’ve had bats overlays and now have paint (by body shop) the light output isn’t any worse with paint (LEDs shine bright) – and they are much more noticeable at night than day (but so are regular taillights).
Bottom line, if done right you wont have issues.
