Should i get this G? What to look for in used ones?

Hey guys im new to the boards G35

I have always owned hondas, and recently a 1.8T modded jetta

I want something more grown up and nicer

I narrowed down to Legacy GT or G35 sedan (manual of course)

I test drove this car this morning

It was IMMACULATE, no dings, scratches, or any visible flaws, engined idled perfect, what should i look for on these cars?

Plans for the car woudl be drop, wheels, call it a day

Body Style Sedan
Mileage 44,691
Exterior Color Diamond Graphite Metallic
Interior Color Willow
Engine 6 Cylinder Gasoline
Transmission 6 Speed Manual
Drive Type 2 wheel drive - rear
Fuel Type Gasoline
Doors Four Door
Stock No. 4M600199
VIN JNKCV51E84M600199

Can anyone carfax?

** UPDATE **

Went to drive the car this morning. Its in immaculate condition. I told him i wanted to pay $18,300, he is gonna try and get $18,899.

Im not gonna trade in my car, so if worst comes to worse later on i can jsut sell the G.

He is gonna call me monday and see what the deal is

I got the fever!

Ok so that is an 03.5-04 Sport with the Aero (nismo) body kit.

Make sure to check the brakes and it may be out of warranty depending on when it was purchased. The brakes on that year were undersized and they put super sticky pads on to make up for it but the pads and rotors wear out fast. After a couple cases, Infiniti decided to giveeveryone 3yr/36k free brake service. Either way this is out of that sevice so you may need to take it in for brakes right after you get it.

Otherwise that is a great car and the body kit would cost you almost $2k if you didn't get it with the car!

I would get it if I were you.

thanks man!

its an 04

Yeah i def decided i wanted the Nismo kit, and was fully expecting to have to fork out $2k for it, so when i saw this one i was like AWESOME!!!

Brakes were super strong compared to my VW, i kept stopping to fast, cause im not used to it, so i think its good in that dept.

Its the exact color, tranny, interior color, and nismo kit i want, i think im gonnna pull the trigger.

Is $18.3-19k a good price for this with 44.5k miles?

They were originally asking $20,888

THanks for the responses guys

Ive decided to get it as long as no one snatched it up after i left yesterday (doubt it since it was at a BMW dealership)

Guy is supposed to call me tommorow to see if his manager will take the offer of $18,900

That was his number, i was saying $18,300

I think $18,4-500 would be about right, but should i even quabble about $500?

Hopefully ill have it tommorow night if all goes well

jon!

your sales guy sucks, what kind of crap is this waiting 24 hours to hear from his manager. Drop this guy like the loser he is and call the dealership right now, ask for the internet or fleet sales manager, tell him you want the car and what you are willing to pay, not the inflated price the sales rep wants you to pay. Tell them you will make the deal over the phone and come down to sign this afternoon if they meet your price.

after you get done with that start ordering many aftermarket parts...

he said he wouldnt go talk to the sales manager to negotiate, unless i was ready to buy that day.

I never do business like that, i always like to sleep on it before making a major decision like that.

So he said he would talk it over with him, and call me on monday. (Dealers in texas are only allowed to be opened on day on the weekend so they are closed sunday).

If he jerks me around ill drop him and call the internet manager

jon!
