Removing Infiniti letters
I looked for this but did not see it, want to remove the Infiniti letters off the trunk. Are these just glued or are the on a different way?
Is there any glue to remove. This is an 03.5 (no doggy door)
Thanks

search 'debadge' in the forum. This is the process of removing these letters.
they are glued on and can be easily removed but beware, since your car is 4 years old, the letters might leave an outline on your car since the paint around them has faded.

Fishing line (can be obtained from Walmart) is all you need to slice the badges from the trunk lid. After that use either your fingernail or a plastic tool to remove the adhesive from the trunk lid. For me when I debadged my Lexus (previous car) I use the plastic spatula that comes with my George Foreman cooking grill
Then afterwards you can further remove the adhesive with some 3M rubber compound polish, use Meguiar's Scratch-X if necessary to remove any fine surface scratches, and finish it off with a final polish and wax.
I removed my Infiniti and G35 on mine. I heated half of it and used floss on it. The other half I just my fingers. Between the both, the heating did nothing extra. The floss will cut it slightly closer to the body, but not much. Then I used Goo Gone and used my fingers to take care of the rest.
i def DID NOT do ANY of the above, straight went at it with a plastic utensil, it was a disaster, there was glue residue everywhere and while i searched for ways to clean it off, it was pretty much set on... took A LOT of work to get it of, so if anyones thinking about it, def read the debadge thread on here!!
