make sure that the little lock/clip that holds it on is not jammed in there, or blocking it. You can then use your stock shifter without the clip, it just will come off if you "up shift" too enthusiastically.

I tried that, i have the clip in my hand. I even tried to use it without the button, pushing down on it, but it still wont work. I really dont get it. For some odd reason, it doesnt seem to want to go all the way down, but i can see that the clip is mating perfectly with the trans stick. I stuck a screw driver up there, and pushed the button, and it would push the screwdriver down. Im completely lost. Theres no way to mess up that metal rod right? I mean it still works, just have to use my thumb to push it down then shift it.

I got mine from a friend, but you can find them at several places online. they are a universal type but they work well.

did you have to replace the boot as well? The stock has that square ring that attaches to the stock shifter

i have an 03 auto shiftknob willow color that i'm not using, i'll sell for 50 bucks shipped. but besides that, did u take out the white piece on the stick and then try sticking it into the **** first, and then putting it back on the stick? it might work that way.

Automatic ****..Try a search too (pictures)!

I didn't like my OEM **** so I ordered a Momo **** from Riverside Infiniti.
When it arrived I didn't like that it sat too high so my Dremmel and I cut
about an inch off the little plastic actuater......works perfect and sits lower.
Also when you install the new **** use thread locker on the pins because
they'll work loose if you don't! (Riverside Infiniti 800-919-8130 Jason/Tony)
