I've got CDs stuck in my changer and going to take to an audio tech to take them out. I did take the bottom part of the console out and unscrew the two screws on the bottom of the changer, but something holds it on the sides and top, and it's not all that obvious what it is. Any suggestions?

 

Same sort of question.. Has anyone taken out their Driver Side Door panel for 03-04 G sedans. Ive got a 20 dollar bill invested inside my door panel and want to get it out. DIY anywhere?

 

the screw is on top when you remove the plastic panel where your clock/temp stuff is, and theres a lot more to removing the head unit

yeah, its a pretty laborous job. good luck. and if you have a CD Error FO message then your headunit might be dead.

It took me about 1-2 hours tryin to find why my dash would not come out untill i found that one screw.

 

Its pretty easy, just follow the steps, i took mine off like 4 or 5 times, so i could do this in like 5 minutes

 

Yeah the first time always takes a while but the next times I have been able to do it in under 10 minutes.

 

im trying to do a OEM swap for another OEM head unit...im so confused as to which of these steps im not gonna have to do...... anyone know a link to a DIY that will let me know simply how to get the OEM head unit out?

 

not to thread jack but...to those that have taken their center console out, do you now have any rattling or creaking problems with the console and/or if you had rattling prior did it get worse?
