Any tips Eugene on getting this off? I've turned the parking brake adjustment all the way till it won't move any more w/o breaking my screwdriver.
By the way my rotors don't turn nearly as easily as it did in your video. Did I miss something? I don't have the e-brake set.
I'm sure you got this resolved by now but for others looking for answers/suggestions to this....Originally Posted by Infinite1

All you really need to do is disengage the e-brake for it to clear the rotor. The reason why it is not coming loose is because of the rust (cast iron, meet cast iron..hello rust). What I did to get mine off was spray the hub with PB Blaster (from the front and from behind) then take a long screw driver and put it inside the veins of the rotor...then wiggle back and forth. Do this on multiple sides of the rotor...it will eventually come loose.

Magnefine Automatic Transmission Filter Installation
This should make a nice addition to anyone with a 5AT transmission.

cool - the only thing is I didn’t see is part # reference, or how often it should be changed... or even the benefit (is it necessary).Originally Posted by bythabay

I don’t remember seeing any discussion about ATF filter (other then ppl asking if there is one)
Thanks for the vid though.

I believe the recommended change for these is every time you service your transmission fluid, you should replace it. Probably around every 30k or so.Originally Posted by OCG35

Since the transmission is unfiltered (with respect to smaller particles), just like the power steering system, this filter can help reduce wear and prolong the life. The parts needed are:
Magnefine 5/16" filter (~$20 shipped from Magnefine)
Hose clamps
Automatic Transmission cooler return hose (5/16") about 1-2 feet of hose is more than enough.
You can read their faq here: http://www.magnefine.com/html/faq.html
And if you look at the bobistheoilguy forums on transmissions, you can find lots of other third party info about these being cut open, examined, etc.

Anyone know of a DIY (vid or text & pics) for sedan non-reclining rear seat removal - for d-spec adjuster extension cable install?...

Eugene, in the sway bar end links install vid, what was the blue grease you applied on the bolt end of the sway bar link?Originally Posted by bythabay

The install looks relatively easy, just removing 2 bolts, uninstall stock end link and reinstall new end link. I'm wondering what will negatively happen if stock end links are continued to be used with lowering springs/coilovers on our cars?

I think the blue stuff was loctite blue. Not sure about negative effects of leaving the stock ones one..Originally Posted by lexusk8
