Hey, as soon as I need to do the work, consider the DIY completed - the valve cover repair is one I am looking forward to.

I guess I'll be the first to raise my hand saying I want it! Even if you just have the raw video files, I'd take it!

I probably won't be able to wait long enough for the DIY video, but the plenum spacer install should be pretty much all I need as the valve covers are right there after the upper/lower plenum is off.

Do you know what gaskets besides the obvious valve cover gaskets should be replaced at the same time, if any?

^According to the service manual, you're supposed to replace these three gaskets when you remove the plenum.

You don't really need to remove the throttle body from the upper plenum unless you're going to take it apart and clean it. So you might not need the throttle body gasket.

On the valve covers, aside from the two valve cover gaskets that you already mentioned, if you're changing the passenger side valve cover you will only need to replace the O-Ring that's under the PCV valve.

I'm actually doing the valve cover gaskets this weekend. I'll let you know if I run into any specific issues.

Thanks Bert. I had thought of the intake gasket but I did not consider the O-ring on the PCV valve. The valve covers are expensive - did you find a good source? Best I could find was infinitipartsonline and infinitipartsusa which sell the pair for ~$365. With gaskets and shipping the total approaches $500. Ouch.
