Easily the best thread on g35driver, kudos bythebay...you're a class act.

I kinda wish I lived in SF so I could be a part of the DIY series.

I have an MT so I can't do one, however, erdog in my area wanted to do a flush on his AT so maybe at some point I'll have that up.

As for which pump I used, it was the Amsoil hand pump for bottles.

Thanks man.
If only you weren't "bythabay", it'd be nice if you were "by L.A."

Great vids man! This really helps a DIY noob such as myself.

With saying that...I have a question regarding the brake bleeding process. 1) What was that noise in the background as you opened the valves? Was were you pumping the pressure back to 15? 2) What was the purpose of marking how much fluid was in the bottle? 3) I've been told it's better to put a little fluid in the bottom of the waste bottle to prevent air from being sucked in?

Thanks very much for your response! I look forward to more of your vids!

Yeah, the noise was one of the other guys keeping the pressure up at 15psi. The marking on the brake fluid container was so that I'd know when I had passed through 1/4 of the fluid. As for air being sucked in.. well, look at it this way: The system is pressurized (15psi) so when I open a bleed screw, the fluid will come out, so no air coming in. When I'm done bleeding from that screw, fluid is still coming/pushing its way out at a nearly constant 15psi, so shutting off the valve does not allow for air to enter.

more vids on the way

Just replaced my In-Cabin Air Filter with the charcoal one.
It took all of 4 minutes thanks to this video...yanked off some plastic, unscrewed some screws...the ol' switcheroo and reassemble...
The air is squeaky clean and saved a whole bunch of money.

Thanks a bunch for the DIY Eugene

Now for the oil change...

You never come out
I don't blame you, we start early and its a drive for you.

At the end of the month, I'm finally doing my drive belts and we're doing another set of headlights (black out and clear turn signals).

We already did mine. I don't think we'll be tackling one for a while again. I'll let you know when we do.
