RPM - 70 mph

I have had the G for about a year. It seems like last summer when I had the cruise set exactly at 70 mph, the rpm's were almost exactly 2500. Lately, they settle in at 2600 at the same speed. My gas mileage has dropped slightly too. Is an ECU reset an option to try in this case? Thoughts ???

Depending on where you live - winter additives in gasoline will account for the slight change, they help reduce emissions, but cost a bit in performance and economy.

I agree with Fzy on this one. My gas mileage have been worse during the winter for both my G and my previous accord.

Re: RPM - 70 mph

rpms at a certain mph should not change without different gearing. If you have an automatic, this is possible. From what i understand, the auto tranny changes its shifting profile according to drivers tastes. So it may be setting itself more aggressivly to suit your driving style. Also, auto trannies can slightly adjust gearing within one gear (hence the ability to accelerate slightly w/o rpms goig up)

Re: RPM - 70 mph

Thats 3-4% increase. Some of it may be due to reduced outer diameter as your tires wear down. Or did you switch to winter tires of slightly smaller circumference?
