Tinted today...
Re: Tinted today...
Thanks BD. Had the SEQ tinted at legal limit, in FL, that's 30% in front, the rear sides and rear w/shield come in at 18% from factory. Didn't want to go that dark on the G... wanted a more semi-transparent look. I think it came out pretty good with 38%. Here's the latest with my aftermarket spoiler install.

Quality of this pic could be better. The resolution sucks a bit. Will update when I get home tonight.

Re: Tinted today...
38% on the front and rear doors, and 30% on the rear w/shield. Formula One is the brand.

Re: Tinted today...
Hey pump,
See that you've got a DG as well. I deliberately went a little on the light side when I tinted, and with the willow interior, it really looks lighter when you see the car in person. The installers call it light medium.
The first and last tint pics do make it look a little darker than it really is, and the pic in the sun looks slightly lighter than reality.
On my last car, a black Acura TL with tan interior, I had the tint done 30% all around, the installers called it medium, which was the legal limit on the front in Florida. I never liked limo, or rather when I turned 30, limo didn't look too good to me anymore. I found 30% to be a good balance on a black car, dark enough so it blended with the black paint, but not so dark that it turned me off. You could see the person inside but not their features.
My tastes now favor lighter tints, and I like the 38% on the DG, and I put 30% on the rear windshield (slightly darker) because I didn't get the auto dimming mirror; 30% blocks enough of the glare from behind.
However, if I had black or brilliant silver or red, I'd go 30% all around again.
Above is a good representation of what the tint is like.
