Maya STM Wheels?
Hey guys the Volk SF Challenge's feel thru the owner hasn't responded to any of my emails. I found some Maya STM wheels that I like 20x8.5 +35 Front and 20x10 +45 Rear. I almost feel like a noob asking but will the +45 work on the 10" rim in the rear? I'm use to giving advice on these topics but I have yet to come accross a +45 offset on a 10" rim... Also I didn a search found someone else had these mounted on a twilight blue G35 but the damn pixs aren't coming up if anyone has pixs post them. Here they are on a M5

^Chico has spoken...nuff said
Perry.....Maya STM are hot wheels. If I had a choice between the two, I would rock the STM over the Volks. They look even better in person.
Good luck

Looks great but did some searching and came across XIX 05's one piece looks identical to the Maya's heck of a lot cheaper. They may not be 3 piece wheels but after seeing these it's hard to justify the cost of paying twice as much for the Mayas. Came across a G35 coupe owner kgreene from florida who's a member of the org and he replied to my PM said he loves his XIX 05s said they look great and has no complaints. I'll call them up and see if they have these in sedan offsets

your right I agree about the weight. I called them and they have these in 20x8.5F +35 and 20X10 +45 as well the front lip is 2.5 and the rear is 3.5 pretty much on par with the Mayas the person i spoke to wasn't sure of the weight though i'll keep googling to find that out but I'm thinking I'm going to pay for these.

Yes you can alawys justify buying the cheaper replica wheels because they cost so much less. But from my experience, it just gets so tiring after a while. They are so damn heavy I was getting pissed everytime I drove. My stern's were DPE replicas, looked nice, but I ended up selling them anyway. Do it right the first time!
i was in the same boat - found so many ways to justify the cheaper brands - XIX, 5 zigen... I was actually going to have XIX imported to Dubai but then somehow got on the VSXX wagon
Those Maya's are smoking man - im sure you will be happy with them!!!!

I swing the other way, and here's why.
1. I've seen three sets of Maya's posted for sale here with peeling chrome or finishes that are in the process of falling off, black included.
2. The factory wheels with 215/55/17's on my 05 sedan weighed 47Lbs each! I know because I just shipped them. In contrast, My cheapo VSR Diffusions from EBAY(wheels & Potenza tires under $700, I've since gone pirelli P6 in the rear) in staggerd 8.5/9.5 form with 245, 255's weigh in at 34 Lbs rear, 33 Lbs front. As light as some, no, hella lighter than stock, damn betcha.
3. In terms of mesh style w/lip wheels in the similar offsets, if you sit all the manufacturers side by side, back up 40ft and look at them, None of them look like they should be $1500 - $3000 more than the one beside it!
4. And the most compelling reason..........thyey are all gonna get curbed, scratched, oxidized, yadda yadda yadda eventually.

I always vote for lighter wheels as long as they are forged. It saves gas, improves handling, acceleration and overall feel. Yes I know this because I have had both the heavy and light wheels. I spent $2,000 on engine and suspension mods just to get the car back to stock-like performance because I added so much unspring weight the first time around.
But... I don't recommend getting the cheap light wheels on the market because they are not strong. I have had a wheel crack open when it should have been fine from going over a rock and seen another of the same brand separate the face from the lip (on a 1-pc wheel!).
So in my opinion, if you have the money, do it right and get forged wheels the first time around.

the mayas are so much more beautiful than the knock offs. i just saw another member WILD121's couple on 20" Maya RM1s and its looked hot. the quality of the wheels are top notch. if i had the cash to spend i'd definately rock the real ones, but i think XIX wheels will do the job on a budget.
