**Help! Damm Freeway debris**

Hi, well I was driving on the 101 Freeway near Ventura. Then I saw a small wood type brick on the freeway. I couldn’t swerve left of right, so I decided to center the car….bad mistake. I heard a “Thump” and it woke up my girlfriend, then I heard a scraping sound…..like I was dragging something.

I was like Sh*t! I immediately pulled the car over and I noticed the “Check Engine light turned on”. When I went outside I saw the cardboard thingy broken and some wire ripped.

Well, I called Ray at Cutter Infiniti and he said to stop by. It was 3pm. I got there around 3:30 and he immediate got me a ride home. Around 5pm, he called and said that it needed more attention so he gave me a loaner G35.

He informed me that the Oxygen Sensor broke off and the cardboard thing needed to be replaced.

How much is this going to cost me?

And, does insurance cover road stuff?

Thanks guys

Shouldn't be too expensive to foot the bill. The engine cover might be what: 100 bucks, the O2 sensor might be 2-300,. See what the damage is. It might pay you to not make a claim if it'll jack your rates. Don't forget the duductable. My $.02
Let us know what the charges are. Good luck

I would think this would be a comprehensive claim, if anything, so shouldn't change your rates. I have Allstate and a $50 deductible for comprehensive claims and my rates haven't gone up after replacing a few windshields over a 10 year period. Chat with your insurance guy on a couple things, the extra cost of a low comprehensive deductible and rate changes when you'd call on it for things like this. Good luck. ...dean
