Windshield rattle

Ok i have a 04 g35x, just had warranty with the compression rods going out. Now I have noticed that now since yesterday i have this windshield rattle noise coming directly in front of me in the windshield. I pressed on other things but it really is the windshield. How do i stop that noise? Its so annoying. When i am driving all day any speed a little higher because more vibration all it does it rattle. The right rear window has rattle also but only when i like stop the brakes and then press the gas a little again, i can here creaking. Why is that? I had that before the windshield problem. Will warranty cover it?

I just noticed that one of the little clips on the right side cowl grille was broken and seems to be rattling against the windshield. When I removed the battery cover and the right cowl grille it doesnt make the rattle.

i have another rattle up there also, but i havent found it yet. I dont think its the left side cowl grille.

The buttons on the Homelink mirror can rattle too.

I don't know what the noise you are experiencing is. However, I hear a rattling noise as well. When the vehicle is stopped there is no noise, as soon as I excelerate I hear a noise in the back of the car (right and left side). I think it's coming from the back doors. It's annoying the crap out of me, and I'm ready to throw the car off a bridge. This noise happens when the car moves from giving it gas. When I drive at a steady rate of speed, there is no noise. Anybody else experiencing this?

Grab the rearview mirror & giveit a light squeeze & see if the noise stops. It's a common problem. I've heard of some people taking the mirror hales apart & insulating the noise but I just replace it if it's under warranty.

Beni B, try lowering your rear windows 1 inch. If the noise goes away search for the rear window bolt bulliten.

I replaced my passenger side cowl grille and that fixed most of it. The mirror doesnt make any noise on mine.

I think I might get that compression rod crack/click sometimes but this other rattle was pretty constant and the cowl grille was the culprit

I lowered my rear widows on both sides, on one side the creaking noise stopped.
The problem was coming from the rear doors. I will take to the dealership now and they can correct the problem. Thanks daveblank!

Sounds like it's your cowl, that's what mine was. There is a TSB for this common problem....very common in colder weather too.

The window rattle is because of the bolts inside the window motor, take it to the dealer and they will fix it. Mine was doing the same thing.
