Re: What would you change about the G35 Sedan?

Since R34 GT-R is still my dream car and now G35 is the replacement of it there are some changes I would to see to keep the breed alive.
1) Skyline style quad round tail lights
2) Turbo for that easy modibility
3) 18" wheel standard and 19" optional thru OEM

- 2004 G35 Ivory Pearl/Black Leather
- Auto/Nav/Premium/Sports/Aero
- 6 wire grounding kit

I'd request:

1) the console color to white or perhaps what Ford is doing buy allowing any color within the color spectrum.
2) Get ride of Bose. How in the heck did bose coner the market with their crappy audio system?
3) Any performance recommendations made in previous posts =)

Re: What would you change about the G35 Sedan?

My list:
less restrictive intake and exhaust systems
Tilt and telescoping steering wheel
memory for seat, mirror and steering wheel
more wheel/tire options from the factory
better sealing of the doors - no more air rushing in from the window controls
better bolstered seats with power lumbar
standard double DIN audio system to support aftermarket upgrade and option to delete audio system completely.
Brembo's on the 6MT sedan

None are serious enough to make me regret my purchase, but most are competitive items within this market and would substantially raise Infiniti's image and none are too costly

A smoother 6MT gearbox.

Next time I go to the dealer, I will bitch until I get a new one.

I'm glad you like yours....I like my music around 20-22...and all I can hear is the vibration of the speakers rather then crisp music. I'm no audiophile, but I've been in cars with aftermarket receiver's and speakers and all I can say is they is just no comparision. Not a realistic comparision (factory vs aftermarket) but why not Alpine like BMW or even Sony. BTW, have you ever had a chance to see what the Bose speakers are made of? Might just suprise you.

One more thing about updates if it hasn't been mentioned....Titled side mirrors when backing up!

Most importantly, dual exhaust on opposite sides of the bumper (like the coupe)

Re: What would you change about the G35 Sedan?

OK suzook, I will be first - A COMFORTABLE DRIVER'S SEAT FIRST AND FOREMOST!

300 hp. and 300lb.ft. of torque!

I also like Ryoken's suggestion for Sport Mode and True manual Mode for the 5A/T.

A little more turn in at low speeds would be nice too, but maybe some better tires will take care of that.

Auto-release park brake would be good.

For what it costs, the Navigation should have a steering wheel mounted button for a power up and down feature rather than the much cheaper spring loaded deal.

NO RATTLES.

Re: What would you change about the G35 Sedan?

I love most everything about my car, so if I were to change anything, I would probably go with these, not necessarily in this order:

1. A moving light bar that goes left to right in place of the front grill. It just looks cool.
2. Super pursuit mode. For when I come across that Lamborghini owner who thinks he's all that. Or when I'm chasing evildoers.
3. Turbo Boost. Next time a car stops in front of me, I won't need to wear out my soft brake pads, I'll just jump over them.
4. Doors that don't open so I need to slide through the window to get in. Then my car could even take on the General Lee.
5. A soft drink dispenser.
6. And of course - a Flux Capacitor, that becomes activated at 87mph.

That's about it.
