I would buy another Infiniti in a minute. They are great cars and the service is excellent. My next car, however, will be a Porsche 911. It's been my dream car since I was 16, and 30 years later nothing's changed.

i gotta agree with illg35... i have all my eggs in one basket with this new infiniti gtr. from the sound of this beast... its goin to be a monster... and i love. i love my g to but if they dont come out with some type of warrantied twin turbo or something then i have to look elsewhere for a perfromance vehicle. Im only 21 years old. i love the luxuriousness of the g but i need that performance also... We will see

I kinda had a hankering for an M45 b4 my Sedan. I think when I'm done with the Coupe in a few yrs, I'll consider the M.

If the GT-R version will be here then yes, my next car will be another G the GT-R. Otherwise I really like the M45. If I have more money then I'm going back with my beloved BMW 545.

I don't know what I would get several years later, but I think I want to try other brands. Since I have tried Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus, Infiniti, and Mazda, so I hope I could try some German brands, not that I want to go upscale or anything, just want to see what is the difference.

2004 Lexus RX330 FWD wagon Flint Mica/Light Gray, premium plus, navi, Mark Levinson, rear DVD.

I would be leery about VW/Audi. I hear that they have electrical problems up the yazoo.

I personally like their new Touareg and would consider purchasing one. BUT, all the problems I hear about them keeps me away from their show room.

Most likely, but it depends.... If the G holds up to be reliable, I'll definitely look at Infiniti. With their current designs, they definitely have got it right.

My only issue is that I love Manual Transmissions. So, Infiniti, if you're listening - build us an M45 or Q45 with a 6MT and we'll buy in droves!

If I ever get one, it'll will be the Infiniti GTR after 2007. But my TT auto sedan will be pushing slightly more HP than the GTR's 479 at the crank and having costed me A LOT less. So we'll see.

Re: Will your next car be a G or another Infiniti?

I am not committed to any brand per se. I recognize that the Japanese brands are generally more reliable and I have had good luck with them. However, I like variety too. Now that I know that RWD sport sedans like the G35 do fine in winter with snow tires -- I am more willing to look at other RWD offerings from Germany or elsewhere. The bottomline for me is that it should be the best value in sport sedans -- combining equal measures of luxury and sport at a price that makes it a compelling buy. One more thing, I will not accept an automatic or CVT or any manumatic transmission. My choices are, therefore, going to be quite constrained (if current trends continue) but I am sure there will still be some interesting choices out there when I am ready to replace my G35 (in August 2006) -- thanks to Infiniti, BMW, Audi, Acura, Lexus, Cadillac, and even Subaru. Saabs and Volvos are not too shabby either. It is a good time to be a car enthusiast!

SL55, like I said. Pretty much in a range for anything.

It's interesting to hear that several people are attracted to the new M45. I am, too, and I may give it serious consideration when the time comes. But I don't know what else will be available then.

Whatever I get, though, I'm going to spend more time testing the driver's seat than I did with the G35. (I'm one of the ones who finds it uncomfortable.)
