There is a guy selling the HKS on here for sub 400. Was the coupe mid pipe and HKS an easy install? did you do it yourself? I found a used coupe mid and ordering the HKS today so any help would be appreciated. Like did you get new gaskets when you installed the new parts? Thanks again for the info

I had a shop install my HKS when I had it, but to be honest you can do it yourself. I removed mine and put the OEM on when I sold my HKS and the uninstall/install was simple. The midpipe is cake too.

It helps if you have certain tools to get the muffler off and on. If you have needle nose pliers with the tips bent and some WD40 or Liquid Wrench it'll make things easier.

It didnt' affect clearance at all luckily, and it's just as low as everything else under the car.

(the evap is the plastic box to the right of the pipe)

You can see that there's no space for a muffler here, but there's space for a pipe.

that is very clean playa, i didn't think i would have enough room (you proved me wrong) i put it in the far back right of the trunk and covered it with a false wall panel. It's right where the 4080 sub box (i think that's the right number) goes. I plan to put my audio in my spare well like calvinator with my subs under false walls

Yeah there's not much extra room at all haha, but we fit it luckily. No matter which way you decide to do it, as long as it works, good stuff.

Ah yeah true true.

Yeah at first I thought it was way too loud, but once I got used to it now love it haha. It turns heads all the time and everyone comments on the sound, so I'm happy with it

Last one is mine. I actually ended up putting on a muffler tip and had a pipe welded to it. Resonated it sounded very nice, and no rasp whatsoever. I don't know if it was a cheap tip or I just scraped it too much on the bottom. It was a resonated tip as mentioned and it didn't really make it much quiet than with nothing attached to the midpipe.

When I swapped the resonated tip for a non-resonated tip I noticed it to be a bit louder, but I did have a tiny bit of rasp, wasn't really that bad and I liked the loudness of it better....but the whole no muffler with no piping sounded the best IMO, though the others were VERY close to the same sound.
