TPMS not responding?

I recently took off my stock 17" wheels off the car and put on my snow setup with blizzaks, which I did NOT install TPMS sensors on this set. I was expecting to see the low tire pressure warning right away, but I have driven it two days now and I haven't seen anything yet. Is this normal?

I would think the system would be quicker to react than this. Not that I am looking forward to a yellow warning light on all winter, but I was just wondering if this is something I should look into further.

same here swapped out my 18's and installed my snow tires set without TPMS and havent seen the light yet. Its normal. The warning light will come on after 30-45 miles of continuous driving, but will shut off until another 30-45 miles of continuous driving after you restart the car.

Mine seems to work much quicker than that. Mine came on yesterday, I put some air in, and it turned back off after less than a full mile of driving.

well I have an 06 sedan with TPMS sensors. When I changed out my stocks for Works and did not have the TPMS reattached, I expected the lights to come on. But ive driven over 10k kms and they haven't come on once. WEIRD!

But knowing my luck lol they will prob come on today after I posted this.

It seems that if you don't have the sensors in the rims, the light comes on after 30-45 miles of driving, but if the tire is low on air, it comes on almost immediately.
