He'll get a commission because he botched a collision report? How does that statement make any sense??

He'll get a commission for being over-anxious in handing out tickets..

well each ticket that gets payed for they make comm. off of. If any of the party involved pays for the ticket they received for not having insurance, he'll make something from it~ So watch out when it nears the end of the year, cops are happy to hand out tickets!

LOL, I think its hillarious when people start throwing out these conspiracy theories with absolutely no factual basis. Commission!?? Now I've heard it all. Ask ANY cop and they'll laugh at you. Do they have quotas? Sometimes. Are some of them ticket-happy? Yes (especially motorcycle cops). Do they see the revenue from the citation? Hell no, it generally goes into the municipal budget, and then gets divided up among all the departments. In the end the police department might get 1/20 or whatever. But commission for Christmas presents......that's classic!

haha we do pay either way!! But being a police officer deff isnt a commission based job. They have a quota they have to fill, but other then that cops get paid ****ty. lol.

As far as the accident goes bro. You know what happened, If this other drive did come into your lane, I would fight this thing till the cows come home, there is nothing stronger then the truth. Well besides being the president and having the ability to lie legally. hahaha

Post to OP ~

I didn’t read the whole thread - but I do commercial vehicle accident investigations and have read boatloads of police/hwy patrol reports... go to 3rd or 4th page (depending on how detailed he got)... there should be a summary... the cop won’t say "who was at fault" but that summary is going to be the bread and butter of the case... If you want to PM me a copy of it and/or discuss specifics about what transpired I might be able to help.

If you are 100% certain that you were 100% NO fault - you can let your insurance company do the leg work... Unfortunately your premiums will probably go up, but of course they won’t say it's because of the accident, it will be some other bs... and you will need to shop around for insurance... problem is, your current insurance will have already reported it to DMV (yes, even if it's a no-fault accident) – so future insurers might not give best rates, but probably better than the one (your current) that has to pay for the time going after the guy or his insurance, or eating the cost themselves…

Let me know if I can help.

your last sentence says it all... the "truth" isn’ t always black or white... that is why legal arenas get so sticky... and traffic tickets are many times unwarranted... Understanding specific facts and responding to the "specific" information or questions does not entail lying or telling truth…

Are you breathing right now? How do you answer that? Does "breathing" mean "inhaling" or exhaling"?... I would tend to think a breath in is breathing, so you might have been exhaling when I asked, so maybe the answer was "no"... kooky analogy, I know... but it's the first thing that came to mind to make my point (I'm better when it's not 1:30am)...

Anyway... statistics, data, and evidence are the most important thing... everyone is going to say they are telling the “truth".

i was in a similar situation when a van and my old suv made a left turn...the van's passenger side headlight hit my driver side doors. He's at fault because he hit me. It was a tight two lane that both lanes can make a left turn. I was on the right and usually makes a wide turn so noone can hit me but he merged to my lane anyways and *BANG*, an accident

This is what your insurance if for, let them fight it out in court.

majority of the time they just settle out of court... which is unfortunate because they will often have won the case had they taken to suit... but it's almost always cheaper for them to just pay a claim... and like I said earlier, they get the money back in the long run.
