Aluminum Sport Pedals

I just purchased the sport pedals for my 06 5AT sedan and I installed them with no problem but I think I was given the wrong dead pedal. It is a little different in shape than the stock one and I installed it but it now covers half of the fuse door that is to the left of my left foot. This makes me think that I got the wrong pedal because now how am I supposed to change a fuse if I need to.

Does anyone else have this issue. I got the pedals from Scottsdale Infiniti.

Can anyone else who purchased the pedals after the fact and installed them look in your car and tell me if your fuse door is now covered by the dead pedal?

I find it hard to believe that Infiniti would have made it this way from the factory.

Thanks in advance.

I just installed them on christmas and I didn't check. I got mine from everythingg35.com. The dead pedal is different than the stock one since it is higher and skinnier. I will be sure to check the fuse box door. I didn't notice when I installed it. I'll get back to you

I have been wanting to get a set myself, but now I am not sure. This may be a case of the JDM cars being slightly different in their layout than the US car. maybe the fuse box is located differently in our cars, thus causing an issue. Or maybe you got the wrong pedal. Would not be the first time for a mix up in parts.

man that sucks!! I just checked and your right it does cover the fuse box. I was able to slide the cover, so although not perfect you'll probably be able to open and close it back up. One thing I didn't check if some fuses are on the bottom portion where the dead pedal is at making it difficult to get them out. I'll check back tomorrow.

So then it's not just me. Did we get sold the wrong parts or is this just the way it is??? While I dont need access to the fuse box often, this is going to bother me just knowing that it is like this. (I am someone who doesn't modify and likes everything stock)

Now my question is, did the stock 06 5AT sedan come with aluminum pedals from the factory or no. And if so, how did Infiniti install them to not cover the fuse box? Maybe the dead pedal we have is for a coupe and not a sedan. If there is a part that is correct and fits while giving access to the fuse door, I want it.

I checked today as well and it is covered the fuse box. Doesn't bother me too much being that I never really have to get to the fuse box. If i need to, it doesn't seem to hard to get open.

However I got a question. Don't mean to Hijack the thread or anything. What did everyone use to keept he E brake pedal on (if you have 5AT). I used an epoxy and it held strong for about 2 weeks but then today it fell off. Could be because it's 18 degrees out, but still. If anyone reccommends anything please let me know. Thanks

They were available on the sedan, but I am pretty sure they only came as an option on the 05-06 sport package. I saw them on some of G35s I was looking at before I bought my car, and they were on sport models only. But its hit or miss because I have a sport model that didnt come with the aluminum pedals.

I bought the sports package 05 and was told I could have them dealer installed but was not part of the package. Also I did not see it as an item for the sports package which only had the 18' wheels , limited slip diff, etc.

Pedals are OEM Nissan parts and they are dealer installed or you can order them yourself. No big deal to me that it's a little more difficult to get to the fuse box if I need to get there the dead pedal just pops right out piece of cake.

Part number? Possible they could have given you the FX pedal which look similar and close in part numbers...
