Buy 03 or 04?

Hi guys,
I am a Max driver: 2002, 6 speed, but I would like to get the G. I think it is more exciting, better handling, better turning radius, and I little more bite in accelerating. The 04 has the VDC which I would like to get but I read in C&D that the acceleration of the 04 G was less than expected, like 0:60 in 6.5. My Max will do around 6 sec. I have driven the 6 speed 03 G, which has been tested at 5.9 0:60 but no VDC. Have they increased the smog control and the 04 G is slower? In any case may be the car they used at C&D was not quick. Also it is getting almost impossible to get 6 speed 04 G in South Cal unless you order.
What do you guys think?

O3 and 04, the only difference is the LSD tranny and I think the Butt Warmer(heated seats). If you dont mind getting an 03 go to Glendale Infiniti ask for Eddie(really cool guy) and they have an 03 Brilliant Silver/Grpahite, 6mt, Butt warmer, NISMO bodykit and a lot more..Really tight ride but, I always wanted the Ivory Pearl/Willow... :-)

6MT Ivory/Willow>>Nismo OEM Kit>>Premium Package>>XM

You can always turn the VDC off!
Get the '04 if it is in your budget.

Re: Buy 03 or 04?

For an off but valid note... If you should decide to turn around and sell the G later, the 03 will be worth more than the 04... reason being is the factor of mileage vs age... whether you buy an 04 or an 03, at the end of this year say you put 20,000 miles on, the 03 will be considered a year old with 20,000 miles where as the 04 will be new with 20,000 miles. All facts considered it's better to buy at the end of the year model. So if you really want the 04 it might be better to enjoy your Max until later in the year, you'll get a better price on a new 04 in late sept. early Oct. plus it'll be easier to keep your age/ mileage ratio down. I found this out the hard way... had to have the first latest and greatest, so I bought a 2000 in Sept of 99... My friend bought the same truck at the same time, but his was a 99... We sold nearly the same time with nearly the same mileage and his blue book value was higher than mine.

P.S.
For those who care. I drive a Silver Sedan 6MT CA license plate "KRZ HAYN" = "Krazy Hawaiian". A "Shaka" is always welcome.
