cool, thanks Tim... it's not real urgent - they are just mocking up the bumper this week... paint won't start until the bumper is ready... thanks again!

why not get rid of all the sub forms instead and leave the sedan and coupe sections? I mean they do get the most traffic and if we do a search on a certain topic it will still appear no matter where it was originally posted. I'm glad that you guys are talking about this cause its one thing that really bothers me about this forum (moving threads) but whatever you guys decide I'll at least know you guys gave it enough thought.

No, don't do that. The other forums are good, they just don't get enough exposure. The admins are correct. This is a Huge community and I couldn't even fathom how difficult it must be to administrate it. There has to be a happy medium. There is still a plethora of information in the Tech section. Go check it out, and you'll see that it needs to stay.

TT, please don't kill the Sedan and Coupe arenas. Although, it wouldn't be that bad if we were all forced to be in the same place .

Let's just close down the coupe and sedan forums. I don't know what to post around here.

Because you have both?

We're not going to close the sedan and coupe sections. There are some information that does belong in there. Plus it is a place where we spend a lot of time.

For now I will leave the "moved" on everything that is moved for a couple days or until the OP receives an answer. I'm going to start working on the 03-06 Sedan FAQ today. I know there was a thread that started before, maybe I can use that one and go from there, if not I'll start a new one for everyone to give their input.

Yes, it was rude, off topic and did not help this thread at all.

If you can't be helpful or constructive please don't post in here.
Thanks

granted it was little rude, but NOT off topic. It goes directly to your request to us members and your action or inaction.

I am just glad I didnt pay for a premier membership to a place where speech is censored by mods.

All you did was insult me for trying to make this request and say to quit if I don't like it. That's hardly on topic or helpful in any way.

I've been working very hard for a long time to help this forum and it's members out in every way possible with what I know. When some smart @ss like you comes along and is very rude for no reason I take offense to it. Yes I deleted your post, if it had anything that contributed to this thread I would have left it alone but it was a shot at me for no justified reason.

You are the first member in 2.5 years I have had any kind of problem with. I don't go around deleting posts unless there is a very good reason.

I'm not being paid anything to do this job. When I spend 80% of my time on here moving stuff around I think we are well justified in asking the other members to try and start their threads in the right setion and not making us do everything.

Lightbulb

I have two thoughts on this topic:

1) When I visit this forum every day or two, I travel directly to the 03-06 Sedan section. I own a 03 Sedan, and I want to learn more/provide information/discuss the 03-06 Sedan. I don't venture into the Coupe sections because they don't help me much.......because I have a Sedan. And when I do venture into the non-specific sections like Wheels and Tires, etc, I find that half of the posts pertain to a Coupe or the 07+ Sedan. So bascially I am fishing through those sections trying to find something that pertains to my model G35. For that reason, I find 90% of what I am looking for in the 03-06 Sedan section. I know that everything in this section will pertain to my vehicle, and it makes the experience much easier. I know that there has to be some standards around here, but I'd prefer if nothing was moved unless it absolutely HAD to be moved.

2) As someone mentioned above, it seems like 1 out of every 3 new posts is a newb introducing themselves. Not that I don't like new people joining the forum, but perhaps there should be a "New Members & FAQ" section where newbs can introduce themselves and find the FAQs that they should know. I have seen this format used on other forums with great success, because the introductions are kept seperate from the auto-specific discussions. JUST A THOUGHT.

BTW, good job Tim.
