+1, link to these special pliers?

I'm glad I damaged mine though...haha, cause I run two grills and I'm constantly taking them on and off. It would be a pain to use a tool to remove them every time I swapped grills. Its still held on very secure by the clips and tabs at the bottom of the grill that go into the bumper.

Not the push clips... those are easy (and if they break, they're cheap)

The ones that are a pain are those stupid square clip things... I highly doubt there is a special tool for them.

^Yes, that what I was trying to say, I've damaged my square clips to the point where if I pull the grill it comes right out.

^LOL.. I considered clipping them off and just letting the lower tabs and push-clips hold the grill on

Only problem is one of my lower clips is broken, so I'll take all I can get.

You should make a DIY for how to break the square clips. I at least feel better that when I do this the push pins will hold the grill sturdy enough when I inevitably break at least one square clip.

Is it possible to upgrade from a standard rear view interior mirror to the electronic one with the garage opener in my '03 G35 sedan? I looked under my headliner for the wiring hoping it might be there but didn't see it. Maybe all I need is a partial harness adapter that iI can get from the salvage yard. Any help would be appreciated.

If they have outward pressure on the clips when you pull them out they break a lot. I've broken dozens.

Yes, I did it.
Search in the electronics section, it has been covered a number of times.

You can get the mirror and a generic harness on ebay. The harness will plug into the mirror and then needs to be spliced in on the other side.

I was hoping someone can help me with an issue. I have an 03 sedan and got in a fender bender. The front bumper was replaced (the one with the black strip), but the replacement didnt have taht black strip thing. So now my front is all painted, but the sides and rear have the black strip. I was thinking of adding a black front lip, but dont want some weird fancy thing. Something basic that looks most stock as possible. I dont plan on lowering my car or anything of that sort. Also, dont wana spend too much.

did you get it replaced by a dealer or a body shop?... Do you have a pic of the current bumper?

If a body shop did it - and it's the standard OEM bumper (non-nismo), they might have got the wrong color and body matched it to your car - instead of masking off the bottom lip, painted over everything...

If that's the case, take it back to them and tell them to remove paint from the bottom lip.

On the other hand, most 03-04 prefer body color and many go out of their/our way to have sides, rear painted (but usually use an after market front).

It is also possible you got an aftermarket bumper that is all body color?... Can you post pic of the bumper?

Unfortunately its been like 2 years since I had this done and I had a body shop fix it instead of dealer. I think I have an aftermarket bumper which is all one color. I will try to post pics later on, the bumper has seen some rough days (lots of pebbles, rocks, flying tire crap on the freeways in Houston)
