As long as you've got a bit of momentum you're fine. There are some steep hills in town and I have had issues getting going from a stop but once I'm moving it's ok. It helps to turn VDC off when you know it will be slippery. Once I get moving I turn VDC back on.

OK here goes, I have an 04 coupe w\ Dunlop Winter Sport M3's on factory 18 inch wheels.... no weight in the back and I have driven around in the blizzard we had this year in boston as well as other snowy situations, up hills etc perfectly fine...

DO NOT, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DRIVING IN THE SNOW ON THE FACTORY SUMMER TIRES, IT JUST WON'T WORK...

Mammoth last weekend...

Falken 452's HATE the snow, it was like ice skating I could not even back out of the parking spot after shoveling the snow. Went all over town looking for cables and of course the only ones that worked were $160 and they did this across the entire face of the rims

We did make it home

Okay, I live in Utah as well. I've heard this is one of the worst winters in recent history (only live out here a little over a year). I've got a pair of '04 G35X's. Earlier this week, I had one of them in the shop for some work. I got an '06 RWD loaner. It stormed pretty bad one of the days, but I wanted to drive the loaner in so I could return it if my car was done. I took my daughter to her baby sitter's in the loaner. It wasn't all over the road, but the thing barely moved! I went back home and got the other X and all was right with the world. I recommend the X to anyone living in the snow-belt.

It's not the car that 'goes in the snow' it's the tires.

I have 2 snows on rear, I can go-in-the-sno if it's not up to the chassis. It's not a 4WD but you can get thru.

when my slip light comes on and stays on its usually because i turned the VDC off and the tires spun and made it mad, the car just has to be turned off for it to be reset
