On the other hand, Trey was more interested in the VIN number than the ecu connector type/color. He's already reviewed mine and said it "should" work according to his documents. He even acknowledges that my ecu is different but again should work. So he seems to be aware of the differernces and at the same time has enough confidence in it to send me one for beta testing.
Thanks Jeff. I'll post back with what I find out tonight when I look at the ECU.

Dave. IMHO, my car represents close to the worse case situation. I think if it works for my car, it will work for all Gs/Zs. And probably VQ35 powered maximas/altimas. Which would be nice as UpRev isn't supporting those guys

Well my limited knowledge says you have a Type I but I could be wrong. Every later ecu connector I've seen for the G/Z was black.

I think you're right. Mine appears to be a Type I.

I printed out the manual for the Subaru wrx. After I'm done reading it, I'll bug Trey about a delivery timeline for my beta testing.

Small update. Trey said they have been able to work w/ my ecu but the reprogramming isn't reliable. I only assume that means the uploading or something isn't consistent. But they working on getting that resolved.

They also said the beta testing on the Zs have been going well but the beta testers are slow to report.

I've seen messages here and there about the Zs being done or almost done for release. I haven't bugged them about the Gs yet but I will in a few days.

They have assured me that I'm on the list for beta testers. I hope they follow though.
