Please be aware that this device is currently not compatible with G35 Sedans with build dates from 2003 through May 2004. See the bottom of this page for further information.

I should just update here vs making a new thread about a mod like some do here.
I'm pretty sure Cobb long forgot us early doggy door guys and UpRev doesn't wany to waste time on us either. Too bad as making it avail for us early folks would be servicing the much larger Maxima/Altima group also.
Anyway, I went with the Technosquare F-spec and threw it in tonight. There is alot less lag on the bottom end and it pulls and pulls all the way to the higher redline. But it's wet out so I'm sure the humidity isn't doing me any favors. Plus I've been driving an Avalon! haha. Geez that thing is a boat in the turns. I'll chime in on the mileage later. I currently get about 20-21 mpg mixed.

The F-Spec is $550+shipping. The CA guys were lucky because they got a meet price during their dyno day.

Yes, when you get the ecu back, it says 92 octane or more. In Ca, they have to tune it for only 91. Sucks.
I had a list of all the things the F-spec intails but I lost it.
There are more fancy reflashes but this the only game in town for us maxima ecu powered G35s (early sedans). But TS is on their game. I was tracking it and they received it Monday and it was on my desk before lunch Tuesday.

- So the throttle response is better overall?
- The sub 3000rpm nanny seems to have lost some of her grasp?
- Which redline did you get?
- When ordering, did you give them a run down of your mods?
- How easy was it to remove the ECU? It looks simple enough.
- Who did you talk to at TS? Their website is a bit flakey when navigating the ECU flash portion of the site.
One good thing, probably the only good thing, about the early ECU is that it seems to adjust better to mods compared to the later model ECUs which really seem to have problems if the air/exhaust flow is increased. The early ECU seems to be dumbed down quite a bit too so the improved performance/response is more apparent, at least according to TS and the reviews I've read.
BTW and a bit OT, Tony was right about these VQs running like poop when the filter gets a bit old or clogged. My 3 y/o Amsoil dry serviceable filter was looking a bit dirty and I decided to replace it with an NAPA WIX OEM paper replacement. Holy crap. Just putting your mouth up against Amsoil filter and trying to suck in was much harder than the paper filter. The paper filter had hardly any resistance. I put the new filter in and the car seriously felt like it gained 20whp and it's far snappier. I'm just going to buy $12 replacement filters every year.

Same questions as Dave! Do you need to run a laptop with it or is it just OBDII right in and flash?
I'd love to do a flash or something come spring, glad someone has found there is one available for us!
Maybe we can work a group buy?

It's not a laptop-type flash. You have to send in the ECU the old school way.
