'o3 vs '04 vs '05 G35 Sedan

I've been in love with the G35s since they rolled out, so needless to say now that I can afford to purchase one, I want to get the best for my money. That being said I've been searching for the right one for a few weeks now, and would love to get your opinions on them as owners.

In my area I have found '03 and '04 G35s with 30-40k miles on them for around US$18k. I can also find '05s with mileage in the 20ks for around US$21k. My question to you all is, which model year is the best? Is it worth another $3k to get a car a year newer, and are there any significant mechanical defects in certain model years. I've heard about sedans plowing through brakes in about 35k miles, and issues with the climate control especially in the '03s. I've also heard about some engine troubles in the '05 and '06 models, but would like to confirm/learn more about these.

Thanks in advance!

IMO 04 w Nismo kit is the best around

i got mine with every option cept navi (including sport package and Nismo body kit ) with 44 ki miles for 18.9 a few months ago

if you cant find one w nismo and dont plan to buy the nismo kit, get the 05

good luck searching

05 I believe has a better looking interior. Also Klumzyee (sp) made a new lip for the 05 that I think is hot.

For the $3000, assuming otherwise equivalent packages, I would probably go with the newer car with fewer miles. Plus, you would still have some factory warranty remaining, where you ma not on the 04 (depending on when originally sold).

Love my 2004. Still has some edges to the body which I like. Infiniti is making every newer model "rounder" everywhere. 03 and 04 have really crisp lines, me likey likey...
Newer interiors maybe a bit "nicer". I believe car is heaveier as well. At least the 07 felt considerably heavier than my 04. Almost like a different model altogether.
it is , however, ALL GOOD !!!

We have an 04 X, and im looking at 05s. Im opting for an 05 because i like the painted sideskirts, the interior, and little things that just make it look more modern than the 03-04s.

The 05's have about 20hp more that 03-04. Revised headlights, tailights, new hood, bumper, no doggy door . I think the changes were great improvements.
