compression rod

Can anyone tell where I can order a right front compression rod for an 03 sedan? Dealer wants $330 + installation = $500.

Since its 03, might be out of warranty... if not, insists that they cover it - many of us have had it done under warranty

Anyone know of a DIY for this? What will happen if it is driven on and the noise is ignored? I think mine is making the noise...

It is pretty easy. You may have to use the jack to lift up the wheel a bit after you put the car on jack stands in order to remove and put on the new rod. Other than that...it is a simple swap. Don't forget to swap out some of the rubber pieces if you didn't order new ones.
