LMAO at the dictionary comment
Sorry to go off topic but I wouldn't rely on a dictionary to tell me what a generator is...I'm in 4th year Electrical Engineering and picklejuice is right, generator does not necessarily output DC, it produces AC and with a commutator can output DC

I'm not following what you're saying -- turn the radio off? Take the radio out? Fix something in how it's installed?
PLease help with the battery issue.
Last time my car was in service, I was told my battery was going bad and that I needed a new battery. I went to Costco this evening and bought a battery.
These are the steps I followed in putting the battery in.
I removed negative terminal first and then the positive terminal. Took the old battery out and put the new one in. It was a tight fit, however managed to get it in there. I connected the positive terminal first and then the negative.
These are all steps from infiniti manual. I guess these were correct.
Once I was done with it and I started the car and drove around the block. I noticed some of my settings were missing, such as radio stations and the like. I reprogrammed them.
Once I was in the garage I turned the engine off and started again a couple of minuted later. The car starts completely and shuts down. After a few attempts, once when I was starting I gave it a little bit of gas and the it stayed on.
This is how it works for now. I'm afraid I cant go to work tomorrow relying on this.
What could be wrong for this behavior? Is there something I could have done wrong?
Please help,
any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
PK

I have the same problem. Bought a new battery from Nissan and about a week later it is low. I pulled all the fuses draw is unchanged at .72 ma.. And ideas? One question when I was testing nothing was functioning? Is it supposed to? Like the doors lights and what not? If it is the diode in the alternator do I have to pull it out to get it tested?
Was there ever a resolution to orginal posters battery draw?
