this happened to me a few months ago. The problem is usually our terrible 03 6 disk cd players. I went through 3 batteries because of it. Right now I just have my radio fuse that is in the engine bay pulled and my car hasn't died in almost a month because of it.

But I hate driving my car right now because it is set on 75 degree auto climate control and my radio doesn't work. I'm in the process of finding a stock 03/04 radio to replace it with.

But I bet if you pull your radio fuse your battery problem will be temporarily fixed.

I don't have the factory radio. I have the Pioneer nav. But do I pull the one under the hood or kick panel or both at the same time?

Ok so I used this link to test... I have .09 amp draw? I pulled every fuse and nothing. Not a movement. Steady. I have two things to check the alternator diode and a custom install job for my nav. Is there a tool to check the alternator before removing it? Loaner from Autozone. With the car on it is charging 14.5 V but not sure if the diode is robbing the battery when off.

0.09 amps (90 milliamps) is trivial in an automobile. After two weeks you will have drawn 30 ampere-hours from your battery, probably less than half its capacity.

So you mean it is ok?
I disconnected the negative cable came back and the battery was at 10v? Maybe bad battery? It is new two weeks old? Should it have drain considering the circuit was not complete?

Before I answer, let me be sure I correctly understand what you did.

1) You started with a fully charged battery.

2) You completely disconnected everything from the negative terminal.

3) The battery voltage then measured 10 volts with nothing but the meter connected.

If all those are true, your battery has failed.

1) Yes brand new battery. Drove around fine. Let is sit for a week barely cranked.
2) The whole negative terminal was disconnected.
3) Did not do it that way. I will check tonight. I have both terminals disconnected so we will see.

Thanks for you help by the way with this issue.

Ok just wanted to share what I found.

I went back to Nissan and they gave me a hell of time wanting to exchange the battery. They called up to the boss's boss. The battery was 10 days old on the receipt. So after they agreed to exchange he told me that they would not be able to warranty it since I have an infiniti. WHAT? I would have to go to Infiniti dealer to replace. I just told him to give me my money back. Went to Sears bought a Die Hard Gold. ( By the way Nissan battery is the exact same battery as Die Hard battery, different stickers.) Installed on Thursday evening. Voltage meter at 12.75. This morning. 12.71. I have not driven the car at all since the install. Seems like it will charge to more once I drive the vehicle? So I guess it is safe to say that the drain is normal and that it was just a defective battery?

Those are OK number for ignition off. Don't confuse the charging voltage with the resting voltage.
