don't be sad! haha just take one thing at a time. even some of us grown adults have to save up to purchase mods. as you get older, you just end up having more responsibilities that require your money, too.

enjoy your new ride!

you're doing a hell of a lot better than I was at your age. My dad bought me a 1968 Mustang GT for $2,100 and I barely kept it running. It broke down on me all the time, had power nothing, and no a/c. It was however pretty loud and chicks still loved it

that being said get you some used / take off stuff on e-bay

Just remember, if you're gonna do something. do it right the first time. I got springs initially to save money, but i shoulda gotten coilovers, and i have them now.

19s? I OEM forged rays are great. Deep dish staggered? Get 20's, you'll save money on tires compared to 19s. push I think 20's are a better fit on sedans than 19's.

+100000 on getting it right first time.

I wanted to get some replica rims for my car which would cost a fraction of what I spent on the Work VS-XX... but in the end saved up for almost a year and got the originals

Same went for all my mods. Research is the main thing esp when you are buying from ebay! If you are not sure about an ebay item, post up the link here and someone will help you!

don't forget to do your research! and ask smart sedan owners like trrank, gedupsedan, g35papa, and so on. they been modding their cars and have experience.

if u watch the marketplace, eventually you'll see good deals. or check your local craigslist, you be surprised sometimes.

wait... you want high quality parts at a cheap price... little man, you'll learn quickly that its one or the other. You gotta pay to play. The cheapest set of coilovers for our cars are Tein Basics or Megans which both run around $800 new. Find a wheel you like then post up another thread asking if it will fit.

If you wanna save a few $$$ lower it with Eibach Sportline springs its a 2" drop which is really low just look at some other cars on here with them. Coilovers will get you that "perfect" ride height but, if your like me money is always tight. As far as parts go get used to the $$$ you bought an expensive car and parts will be expensive too. If you want cheap parts buy a Suzuki Samurai!

High quality parts for a car like this at a cheap price are hard to find. Most of the stuff for the G is expensive.

Thanks timsam for posting the link to the FAQ thread.

not everyone can justify coilover prices. Nothing wrong with using z and g coupe springs in various combos to improve appearance and performance. Its not like it can't be simply "undone";especially the rears. With all the used springs, especially like new springs from 06-08 models with 3-10k mi.....thats practically brand new.

Keep an eye out in the Marketplace under Private Classifieds. You'll be able to come across quality used parts for a decent price.
