i wish i had the ability to do some custom modding like this, and the resources, but this is something you could definitely sell, well that if you made more of them, im sure klumzee would make a valence or something.
and instead of hammering the spare tire well, could you do a low pro muffler?

another option would be to cut or hammer in the sides of the spare tire well and run two can style mufflers out each side - what ever takes the least room would be the best of course - the OEM coupe muffler is HUGE. All that gas evaporator stuff shouldn't be an issue or at least it's not an issue how I did it.
the material is very easy to cut out if you have air tools and a cutoff wheel. Good luck getting a shop to do this for you. Either they will chagre you a ton of money to do it or just look at you like
total cost to me was
$25 for the OEM muffler
$95 to ship the stupid thing
$185 for the custom welding to get it up there
$40 to extend the tips farther out
I also used a section of the rear piping from my stock mid pipe to extend the coupe mid pipe to reach the muffler
