That is what Dave just told you.

You will only save a bit of weight on your year of sedan, that is all you gain. Hardly worth it Janik.

if sound is all you are looking for, get a popcharger or a JWt intake.

It'll give you a nice sound under load.

most NA mods are totally useless on these cars....especially if you have a revup motor.

Sounds really sharp, deeper and less raspy than the coupe middy. Damn it - anybody got a sedan middy for sale?

Dave, were those vids taken when you had the MD 5/16" spacer and Z-tube installed? Just trying to get an idea of the sound difference.

I had this same dilema when getting my coupe midd pipe VS the 05-06 sedan mid pipe.

I got a complete coupe exhaust , stock cats , Y pipe and Mid pipe , 18" coupe wheeels with tires, stock coupe spare and the Valve cover with red letters $ 350

I installed the coupe Mid pipe with hope that the " Drone sound " would not be a problem and to tell you the truth its been on for about 4 months and its excellent , nice tone and drone is very little, but not uncomfortable for me.

I have had 4 turbo cars and my G is very quiet even with the coupe mid pipe and Z tube with K&N filter.

but when you hit full thotle i can assure you you will be content.

so is the drone present at a certain rpm/speed? 4k rpm or _ _ mph? The only drone I've ever had was with a stang equipped w/ 2 chamber flows and a bbk street legal H-pipe. The sound was incredible cruising around rowing the gears, but at speed on the highway, the drone was significant and was at 75mph or so and I had to do 80 or so to avoid it
can you describe when the drone occurs...

only during acceleration in the low 1800-3200 rpm range also at crusing speeds under 35 mph/

its not bad at all , It has a similar sound to the coupe but just not the exhaust sound,

but when you give it gas it will growl even tho once i give it full throtle i can hear anything besides my Z tube and K&N hissing . i love it !

I'll just make a new mid pipe with no resonator and see how that sounds. I'd like to keep the stock look.

Anyone have a drawing or dimensions of the flanges so I can have them cut prior to removing the stock pipe?

Todd
The couple midpipe on 05 and 06 will just make a little more noise.

The coupe middy doesn't drone like a 5.0 with an exhaust. I know the exact drone you're talking about. The coupe middy doesn't do anything like that and the 05/06 sedan midpipe has even less drone (though louder around town). The Borla TD I had on my G droned very badly, much like my friend's 90 LX 5.0 notch with Flowmasters.
