Is the coupe mid pipe the choice for a sedan?
[QUOTE=stillmatic]There's no benefit from switching to a Coupe midpipe if you have an 05-06 Sedan. They're pretty much the same. You should look into an axleback exhaust if you're going for sound.

No they're not the same. BIG difference in both size and SOUND!!!

1) significantly smaller resonator
2) complete bolt-in with no need to bend heat shields like you do with the coupe midpipe
3) the resonator is designed to match the design of the sedan muffler (variable flow, straight flow) noise characteristics vs that of the coupe which uses a crossflow style muffler.
I had the coupe midpipe for about 3 weeks before using the sedan midpipe. The coupe midpipe just didn't sound quite right at certain rpms and it had some droning in the 2200-2400rpm range. The sedan midpipe has much more fluid, healthly sound. It's louder than the coupe midpipe, but it has no droning issues. As you can tell from the videos, the sound is a cross between a coupe/Z and a inline 6. IMO, it sounds perfect without being overbearing, but it is much louder than stock.
hearing the clip of the o6 sedan with coupe middy - I can tell u it only has a slight deeper growl.
I have an 06 sedan with hks rear section so i can say its not much of a difference. You want deeper growl go for the coupe middy.. Better to buy high flow cats though or a MD spacer.

^if you have an 05-06 sedan though you dont need to get an 05-06 sedan middy because you already have one
so the only other option is to either spend a ton and get a full exhaust, or get a coupe middy.
My coupe middy is still in the garage, driving me nuts because i cant get the stock middy off...

Thanks for all the information. Based on the videos I decided to go with a 03-04 muffler on my 06 with no other changes. Found a muffler for $75 delivered.
I have Tokico/Eibach enroute. Going with Stillen intake and Hotckis sways to finish it up.
It'll be a nice daily driver.
