The Borla TD I had on my G droned very badly, much like my friend's 90 LX 5.0 notch with Flowmasters.
Dave have you seen that MD is working on an exhaust system for the G's now? I am hoping that they can get an aftermarket exhaust that will not drone like the Stillen and Borla systems do. Would like to hear what you think on the MD exhaust once its out.

Yeah, I'm eagerly awaiting Tony's new exhaust products. Hopefully he's figured out a way to get around the drone while improving performance. That's definitely a tall order though.

I see, thanks. Well I guess the coupe M.P. drone is like stubbing your toe and the drone (at hwy speed, constant cruise) on a 5.0/4.6 GT + hpipe+ 2chamber flows is like getting a shark bite

stang drone

coupe m.p. drone

would the coupe mid pipe fit on a 2006 g35X? I think the exhaust system might be a bit different because of the transfer case

Should fit right on. I have an 05 G and it bolted straight on.

Others have Xs running the midpipes, id assume it works.

Just be aware on 05/06 sedans, the coupe mid-pipe will give you weight savings, but nothing else. It helped the 03/04 but the newer sedans had improvements to their stock exhaust that helped power and improved the sound as compared to their older brothers.

I ended up buying a used Stillen Gen 1 exhaust. At $375 I was willing to risk it being too loud. I am waiting for my Stillen sways to arrive so I only have to put the car on the lift once. Will report back next week.
