Re: is there any way to convert the sedan into dual

do you want to run one pipe out both sides of the back of the car? If so, you need to relocate the fuel tank charcoal canister under the right rear side of the car.

to run a true dual into a dual tip muffler is easy, and is already on the market for ~$1000.00 US

SO, "like the coupe" can be interpreted blah blah, blah. Let us know exactly what you want and someone will tell you how.

If your willing to slice off the spare tire wheel well, I believe you could do it. But, what would you do with the notch in the rear bumper for the sedan's original tail pipes? And their's the matter of how close the muffler would be to the fuel emissions hardware on the rear passenger side (opposite side sedan's oem muffler) Here are some pics of what I'm talking about.
I've been looking for a rear coupe or Z muffler that I can get for dirt cheap to look at the whole fitment issue, regarding the emission's hardware that is, tire wheel wheel go bye bye .

I think it could be done. And as far as the cutouts in the rear, all that would be needed is an add-on rear skirt with two cutouts (like the nismo aero kit, except with two cutouts). Any aftermarket body company can make something like that. The actual exhuast setup could be much like the borla or the stillen, except with the mufflers located further back in the setup or a second pipe coming out of the stock location muffler routed to the other side of the car.

I see what your saying about trying the coupe muffler in the sedan location and running the pipe to the other side. But the coupe muffler is way to big to fit in that location. Same thing for maybe trying to squeez it between the diff and the spare tire wheel well, avaliable space is to small. I think just a rear areo kit bumper facia without doing all the other pieces of the areo kit would look really odd, IMO. When I took the pics of the emission control stuff, I was their to get a idea of how I could do a coupe system, spare tire wheel well would have to be cut into or removed altogether, meaning to whatever depth to let the muffler clear and hang right.

I didn't necessarily mean a coupe muffler. I was just saying in general that I think it could be done by a major exhaust company. I think if they designed the rear skirt in neutral fashion, it would look good.

Re: is there any way to convert the sedan into dual

Personally, I think the easiest is if you had a second dual outlet muffler on the right side. But that would require moving the fuel tank vent canister to the engine bay. In order to do that something in the engine bay has to go (??battery???) to the trunk or elsewhere.

The relocations will cost around 200-300 dollars depending on if you move the battery.

Then the exhaust will cost ~1000.00 conservatively.

Is it worth it? IMO no. I would love to see quad exhaust tips in the back, but 1300.00 is better spent on a Crawford Plenum, High Flow Cats and my car registration tags.
