^ Is the gear shifter on the wrong side? For a second I thought this is a RHD car since the gear shifter button is on the right side (not the left side like in all of the U.S. G35s).

to each their own, but I really don't care for the CF overlays....
I would just keep the interior the way it is, because pretty much anything you can do to it other than paying $$$$$$$$$$ for custom work isn't going to look that great..

LOL... just had the center console off replacing a fuse and didn't even notice I had it on backwards. I'm always pulling the console to do stuff, i actually prefer it that way now that I think of it.

I'd love to paint mine but I worry about how durable it will turn out to be. My black center console needs to be updated. But even worse would be a painted one that's all scratched up. Especially if it's silver and it shows black underneath. For anyone that's painted theirs, how has it held up?

Gloss black if you're gonna paint it all, other wise I personally would keep it stock.

I want to paint mine too because I have a few nicks and scratchers there because my gf is not very careful with my car. Not feeling the overlays either, I mostly want to paint mine so the clear coat's probably going to be easier to clean as well. Man I know there are carbon dashes that replaces the whole piece out there, i have seen it done cant seem to find them now.

i know what you're going through. the pic was black when i bought that kit. i don't know what i'm going to do now... the buttons feel cheap... i've been contemplating switching them for the stock ones... although i dont know if thats really doable... and the paint is a nightmare, cause there's some silver or white flecks in the stock color, so matching will be impossible unless i get a overlay or paint the entire thing.... SIGH.
